This was in a dump pile of old cans, metal and other objects, but I was impressed by the colors of the rust and shadows the sunlight cast upon parts of the metal.

My husband and I and our two sons are natives from Washington, DC and lived most of our lives in the Northern Virginia area. After retiring, my husband and I moved to Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. We have been in South Carolina since 2008. In 2000, I became interested in photography and when living in Virginia, I belonged to several camera clubs, including the Manassas Camera Club, Gaithersburg Camera Club and Washington’s National Zoo Photo Club.
